Officials at New Jersey's Human Relations Council meeting in Trenton Tuesday are discussing immigration issues.

Attorney General Paula Dow emphasized that two of this year's highest-profile attacks on immigrants in the Garden State are being prosecuted to the fullest extent despite not meeting the legal threshold for bias crimes.

Dow says educational outreach to immigrant communities must continue to ensure that crime victims contact law enforcement without fear they will be reported to immigration authorities.

A number of individuals and organizations are being honored for their work to reduce prejudice and bias.
