This is a reiterated story of the impact of H1B visa for Indian information technology companies.

Of course, there is no doubt that the business models of informational technology outsources will face the brunt of the U.S. ImmigrationReform Bill. The Indian companies that constantly nagged the Indian government to address the issue with the United States are also enveloped by the rife speculations.

The bill that is presently waiting for a "yes" from the House of Representatives carries a multitude of reform measures. The reform bill has been passed by the Senate in its original shape and encapsulates Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act that places the Indian IT companies in a fix. The reason behind the same is that the skilled worker visa of foreign employees would get expensive for the Indian IT companies.

The bill would not only influence the business models of the Indian firms, but also other organizations as well.

According to the New Jersey-based Cognizant Technology Solutions Co., the bill focuses tremendously on the skilled-worker visas. It has more than three-quarters of its workforce based in India. So, there are apprehensions among the American companies as well which plan to pool the best talent from all across the globe.

The bill is being looked with apprehensive eyes as the companies fail to recognize a recruitment procedure. Cognizant does not fail to say that the bill carries good proposals but the restrictions imposed on the skilled-worker H1-B visas will be a problem, says Gordon Coburn.

The bill that has been passed by the Senate encompasses visa caps, fixed green card processes and removes the outplacement clause which deters the H1-B reliant companies from keeping foreign employees at client sites.

Godorn Coburn was speaking to the Wall Street Journal, where he highlighted that the US Immigration Reform Bill would enhance the American economy but this angle of H1B visa may prevent the companies from accessing the best talent all across the globe.
